R.I.P. Trev

Saturday July 2nd my friend Trevor Olsen got in a car accident and passed away. He was with his cousin Tanner who also passed away. My sister called me and told me the news, I didn't believe it at first so I called my best friend Hunter who was best friends with Trevor. I asked him what happened and he told me that Trevor had passed away. I hung up the phone and cried for hours. It was so hard for me to accept that he had passed away. I had literately just talked to him earlier this month about meeting his roommate Brant when he took a trip to Utah. We talked about his future college plans, going to Eastern Washington with his girlfriend Catie. Trevor was always the happiest kid, always smiling at everyone. Hunter had moved into my house during high school, so I saw Trevor a lot. He was always over with hunter playing games or just hanging out. I remember making cookies in the kitchen and they came in late at night and ate almost all of them. They were always giving me a hard time about everything, I could never say anything without them saying little comments back. All of their weird things they would say like "we are freeenz", " we are freenz till the end", they would just start laughing and I would ask why they were laughing and they would say " oh just something funny that happened at school today" even if it was a Saturday... oh how I miss those sayings. I loved playing madden with them or mostly watching them play ha ha. They were like the brothers I never had. I loved hanging out with them. Trevor was always around so he met our foreign exchange student from Germany and would come to the little activities with all of us. He was always so friendly and became good friends with Mareike. He was such a good friend to me and many others. I know he is doing great in heaven watching over all his friends and family. I know that someone passing away is a hard thing to get over, but I know that I will be able to see him again once I return to heaven. I know he is continuing on with his life... just on the other side. I know he is touching other peoples lives up in heaven and blessing his family everyday. I will miss hanging out with him when I am home. I will always remember all the memories we had together with our friends. Trev you will always be in my heart. Continue to pour blessings out to your family and Catie, they need your strength. Love ya Trev!
Going through this experience and having many other friends throughout my high school days pass away has made me realize how lucky I am to have the gospel in my life. I am glad to know that our life continues after death and that families can be together forever. I know that our work still continues on in the next life and we continue to touch others lives. Love ya always and forever trev!!!! we are freenz til the end :)

Sister visit

So my lovely sister came to Logan Utah last week for EFY and then decided to stay an extra week with me :) My mom dropped her off and stayed for a few nights. We went to the Logan summer fest, walked around and looked at all the art and jewelry. Brooke and I got some covered apples and bananas. We had a lot of fun! We also went to a good friends wedding earlier that day and had a good time talking to some old friends from missoula.

She has been able to experience a little bit of the college life. She came to my college anatomy class with me... she probably hated her life just as much as I did at the time. I really like the class but it is just so long sometimes, it doesn't help that it is summer and I just want to be outside playing. Anyway we went to church on Sunday together and she definitely got checked out by some creepers. She got to meet some of my friends from last year who came up for the weekend to visit. We all had a ton of fun together, we went to wingers, hung out, and talked forever. Ashley asked us to spend the night in Draper  Sunday night, so Brooke and I went down and hung out with Ashley and Sydnee for the night... they are the nicest girls :) We all started a twitter account that night thanks to Ashley.
We then woke up Monday and went to salt lake to go shopping!! I love shopping in the Gateway so much... a little too much probably, because I always come home broke.
Shopping at Gateway
watching fireworks :)
We went running to the temple later that night... I'm so out of shape! We have watched lots of movies, played games with some friends, and cooked lots of good food. I hope she hasn't been too bored yet considering I have work and school a lot. Travis has hung out with us a lot and he even brought us horchata so we could try it for the first time :) Trav also took us to see transformers in 3D! Brooke and I watched some fireworks together on Friday night after I got off work. We sat in my parking lot, ate popcorn, and watched them :) We then went to ice cream later that night with Mike and then came back to my house and waited for my mom to get into town. Saturday Brooke had a date with a kid from EFY, so my mom, Braidon and I all went to lunch with travis at Costa Vida and then went to the Logan Zoo... my mom then took Braidon and I to salt lake city and we went shopping and to the movie Monte Carlo. I had a ton of fun with my family being in town. Sunday I went to church and then Trav and I drove to Idaho Falls to eat lunch at my aunts house with my family. We walked around the Idaho falls temple, by the lake and had a really good time. I had so much fun with my family and I miss them so much! I am so glad they were able to come down and see me! I am very blessed to have the wonderful sisters and mother that I do :)

Summer 2011

I have been horrible at posting lately so I will try to do a re cap of everything that has been happening. School got out around May 6th for most people and everyone left or moved to another place... It was a bitter sweet moment. It was hard to say goodbyes to some people, because they were either leaving on a mission for TWO whole years or just leaving for 3 months. I had a ton of fun my freshman year of college, I learned a lot of valuable information.
  • It sucks being broke and living off nasty (Market place) food
  • It sucks gaining weight :(
  • I have to choose two of the three 1. social life 2. grades 3. sleep
  • I need to study way harder to be successful
  • college is way better when I just make friends with everyone
  • time goes by way fast!!
  • Getting involved was a good idea
  • staying up until 5 in the morning and not studying was sometimes worth it :)
overall I met so many great and wonderful people... I will miss the ones that left, but I will look forward to seeing everyone again when fall comes around :)

I moved into a new apartment with a few friends... It's nice to finally have a kitchen and my OWN bathroom and bedroom. It was fun sharing, but I think I would prefer to have my own. I love our new ward, except for the fact that it starts at 9:00 am and I struggle waking up in time. Everything has been good so far, just a little stressful at times, but that is life I guess. Paying for rent is a killer, working a lot of hours getting paid minimum wage, and going to summer school :( those are the only negatives of it so far. I love it so far though.
This summer I have done a lot of things already.. here are some pictures

Tyson teaching me how to
find good foot hold :)

We all went rock climbing up Logan canyon

A few weeks later we all decided to go hiking at night to the wind caves. We got home at 2 or so but it was a ton of fun :)
I have watched many movies with our summer friends (tyson, wes, tyanne, sierra, and me) and we have had fires, made milk shakes and gone out to dinner to chilies... it's just the beginning of a great summer. :)

Weekend fun!

This weekend I went to Salt Lake City with my roommate Veronica. We left Friday night and went to Draper to hang out with some of our friends and watch a movie. Then we went to SLC to sleep at her sisters house. We woke up and went SHOPPING... my favorite thing ever! we went to the gateway and spent a few hours and a few too many dollars :/ but it was a lot of fun. We then went to Heber city to go visit her parents and stay the night there. We went over to some of her friends house and told scary stories and hung out it was a lot of fun! Heber is a way small town... I don't get why people make fun of me for being form Montana, and yet Heber is so tiny. I thought it was pretty funny. We went to church and then had cake and ice cream for her dad's birthday. We got back to Logan tonight and there is STILL snow :( but I cleaned my whole room so that makes me feel better:) well I'll write later when something exciting happens in my life.

I forgot to talk about a cute boy I met a week ago... he took me out to this restaurant in Brigham city (which is close to Logan) and we had a good time with his roommate and his girlfriend and then we went back to his house and watched a movie and played games it was a fun night. He is also going to institute with me every Wednesday :) and took me out to lunch last time he is way nice and cute :) (little update for my mother)

Valentine's Day!!

Today is Valentine's Day!!

I was so happy to get a package !

The two wonderful packages!

All the goodies I got :)
I got two packages in the mail today... one from my mother and the other from my grandma. I got a heart cupcake pan with valentine's day cupcake mix, chocolate turtles... (my favorite) and little decorations for our door. My grandma sent me cereal, nutella (also my favorite) lots of fruit rolls and more cupcake mix and lots of candy hearts. Oh and she sent me knitting stuff so that I will learn to knit. I love my family! I went out to dinner with some of my good friends to chilies. Then I went to twizel berry ( I don't know what it is called ) It is a yogurt place where you can add any topping you want. It was really good. Then my roommates and I made valentines boxes and I think I will make my cupcakes tonight... Today has been a great day :)

First Post!

So this is my first post ...

Last night I went on a date to the Jazz V. Suns game in Salt Lake City. We were driving there and he had bought me a Deron Williams jersey as a present. It is so awesome and I love it! As we were driving to Salt Lake he told me we had to stop somewhere because we needed to ride to the Jazz game in style... so we went and got his corvette... those cars are so fast and so fun, I literately had butterflies in my stomach! We got to Salt Lake and ate dinner at Rumbi (which is supper good). We then went to the game that the Jazz sadly lost.... but on a brighter note Gordon played a lot and did amazing ( I have a love for Mr. Hayward)!

So today me and my roommates went looking for apartments to live in during the summer and next fall. It started out all good with a few that we loved, but ends up they are already full! So we drove around for another good hour and couldn't find anywhere we really liked. It hard because we all want different things. My thing is that I was a washer and dryer in our apartment... I don't want to pay $5 a week for laundry that doesn't even clean your clothes... apparently that is too much to ask for. I am a little frustrated at this point, but we will eventually find a place within the next few days!
